Inspirational - Show the World your Magic

An interesting concept on how we approach creativity and how we show the world our magic.
*
1. Make possibility list - Yes and meet deadlines I'll tell myself this.
2. Embrace your quirks - I do laugh at my sillyness, hey life is too short to be upset over dumb things!
3. Draw everyday and everything - doodle is my life!
4. Practice gratitude - amen.
5. Go outside! - Weekends are the best...
6. Make time for yourself - Especially on rainy days. Oh how I love alone time.
7. Life Hack - I actually do this! ocd...
8. Make time for daring adventures - Totally up for it and you are never too old to do anything!!
9. Hero worship - so many to list... I'll list it on my board then...
10. Treat life as an ongoing experiment - constant and never give up.
11. Write love notes everywhere - got to start doing this... Bear's gonna love it~
12. Get offline - Agree!

Inspirations - The Vow

Watched The Vow again last night and really love their vows. I'm a hopeless romantic and movies like this will get me all curled up in my blanket with piles of used tissues beside me. Life is short, cherish each other.

DIY - Bear's Day

Today's my hubby Bear's birthday. I've been so caught up with the past two weeks event, I actually forgotten our 9th year anniversary. It so happen to fall on the day right after my mom's surgery and I didn't had any sleep overnighting at the hospital. Thankfully I've got a very understanding husband who in return reminded and surprised me on that day. Although I sort of abandon him for the past 2 weeks, he did pop by at my mom's and gave me the very much needed hugs and kisses. Nine years... It's definitely a milestone for us. I pray for what I always pray for and may he have a blessed Birthday with many more returns. I'm off to do a little DIY heart cake topper to bring to our dinner and also pick out my outfit for tonight. I'm actually quite exhausted and have not really rested well... So I think I'll take it easy today then tomorrow, finally needle, threads and orders! Truly bless. DIY ideas below:
Super simple cake topper by beyondbeyond which I adore! I might make this today!
So chic and glam cake topper from Sugar & Cloth.
I need to learn how to crochet! These cake topper from cherry time are too cute!
And love these wooden rustic cute cut outs from 100 layer cake.

Inspirational - Philosophy on Breathing In & Out

A very good philosophy and so much truth in it. How we get inspired and try to inspire others is like breathing in and out. And when we create and share our thoughts and dreams, we open up our hearts to others and we put ourself out there... We might get hurt along the way but that's art. Perhaps not everyone will understand why I blog my inspiration but after reading this article by Amy from Pikaland, it made so much sense. So yes I blog and I sew and I cook and I bake and I read... The list goes on. I'm never going to stop what I love to do and what I want to learn or what I want to share. It's just all a process of Breathing In and Exhaling; Inspirations. Food for thought. (Image courtesy of Pikaland)

2013

Image above courtesy of Typography Served
A very Happy New Year to you and may this year be a blessed one for all of us. I've just got back from my long Christmas extended to New Year eve holiday and next week I'll be flying off to another trip. What a wonderful 2013 to look forward to. I'll spend my first few days of January to pen down my 2012 journey, all that I'm grateful for and then also journal down my resolution for 2013 - "I hope this year will be kinder and my 1st resolution for all the years to come is to spend more time with my family. Learn how to cherish them with the time given so I wouldn't miss any moment."

And a beautiful Quote to remind myself that what fuels me are my passions and dreams. Never give in or give up for what you believe in. Always stand by it and just go for it. You are never too old to learn or teach. Care less on what others think especially those who aren't even important in your life. Stay calm & true to yourself, just keep sewing.

Inspire me Thursday - Passion

So true. Sometimes people just like to talk but no action. I believe in action and achievement speaks louder then plain words. I don't have to answer to anyone for I know what I'm doing is pure, passionate and from my heart.
Keep it up BeaniPet & Jun~!

Inspire me Thursday - The Notebook Doodles

Beautiful typo + beautiful inspirational quotes = The Notebook Doodles
Beautifully drawn typo, I adore this site. I do visit her site very often to view her inspirational quotes.
I guess at the end of the day, all artist not only want to illustrate their thoughts/opinion/dreams/ideas but also inspire/motivate/move their audiences. Hubby recently gave me something to think about - my other passion besides sewing/doodling. He said "Not many people get job satisfaction from what they do. If you love it, maybe you should do it, not for the money but for the satisfaction." He is right. Maybe I should be more courageous & face it or if it's fated then it'll happen. Whatever happens, I should venture back into my other passion.
I'll see you at Pipit Wonderful Market 9 this Saturday!

Inspire Me Thursday - Little Prince

Above are my 3 favourite quote from The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-ExupĂ©ry. This book was given to me by one of my favourite teacher, Miss Susan, who has inspired me in so many ways. She taught me creative writings and also things in life. She always see the good in me and believed that I can achieve anything as long as I believe in myself. And she's right :) This book may look like a children's book but it really isn't. You may read it many times and still find it pretty deep. It has depths, and allows you to think and question yourself, especially if you've lost your inner child.
If you've not read this book, go get one today and read it. You wouldn't regret it :)
A treasure that I will forever cherish.
